Darwen Christmas Lights Switch On
Saturday November 24th 2007 (3.30pm)
Carley Stenson, who plays Steph Dean on the popular Channel 4 show Hollyoaks, will be appearing in Darwen to officially switch on the town Christmas lights.
The event, sponsored by The Bee radio, will also see some traditional Christmas entertainment including local school choirs and a brass band followed by a fireworks display.
Decorations will light up the town hall and surrounding shops in Market Street and Bridge Street.
Be sure to get down early so you don't miss any of the entertainment and show your support for the town.
Carley, who first appeared on Hollyoaks when she was 18, also recently took part in the reality TV contest "Celebrity Scissor Hands" which formed part of the BBC's Children In Need campaign.
